The Impact of Internet on Traditional Marketing

We promote their businesses using traditional and internet marketing strategies. Both methods are used in marketing.

Traditional marketing is based on offline activities, such as creating posters, TV and radio commercials, billboards, brochures, business cards, and print ads in newspapers or magazines. Large Corporations and mid-size companies mostly likely use TV commercials for advertising. Small businesses and entrepreneurs have limited budgets, and cannot use print media and email marketing for promoting products and services.

When you use online methods for advertising, it is termed as internet marketing, web advertising or online advertising. Internet marketing is a subgroup of digital marketing and follows the same principles. The main channels of internet marketing are: Web site, Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Content Marketing, Email Marketing, Mobile Marketing, and Banner Advertising.

If we compare internet marketing to traditional marketing, we can declare that internet marketing is better than traditional marketing, because everyone likes an easy lifestyle. The internet improves lifestyle as everything is available on a single click. While traditional marketing is based on offline marketing, it is time consuming and includes expensive processes for getting the desired result. The internet marketer easily promotes services and products on the internet allowing users to easily access the required products and services. Internet marketing expenses are less than offline marketing, which is a primary reason behind its emerging prominence.
